What You Need to Know

HOW IT WORKS

Good Neighbors will provide a meaningful team building activity doing critical repairs for a low income homeowner. Your team will meet the homeowner, hear their story, and make a difference in someone’s life in a very tangible way. It will truly be an experience to remember.

WHAT HOURS ARE AVAILABLE?

Each weekday offers a work day from 9am – 4pm.  Good Neighbors will provide lunch onsite and provide an opportunity to learn more about our mission and service to our community.

WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?

Volunteer tasks will include roofing a single story home and light construction.  No experience or specific skills are required.  All work sites are led and supervised by licensed and trained project managers from Good Neighbors Home Repair.

WHERE WILL WE BE WORKING?

Work sites will be at various individual homes in Southern Chester, Southern Lancaster, and New Castle counties. Specific addresses will be made available closer to the event.

HOW MANY VOLUNTEERS CAN WE BRING?

In order to get the most out of the experience, we recommend a group of 6-8 volunteers. Each company must designate a team captain. Good Neighbors will communicate to volunteer groups through the team captain. If you have a group smaller than 6, we will pair you with another team.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

Work clothes and closed toe shoes. Bring a hat! Be prepared to be outside.

HOW DO WE SIGN UP?

Fill out the form below and we will be in touch to help you register your team and schedule your service day for Hands of Hope in 2024.

What is it really like?

I have been able to be a part of two Good Neighbor roofing jobs, and I have never felt better about the time I’ve spent in a day than spending it there giving back.” Eric, from CSC

It turned into a team-building exercise with others from my company, and I was able form unique bonds with my co-workers outside of the office.” Joe, from WSFS
