Strategic Relationships Director
Position Description
Status: Full Time
Reports To: Executive Director
Based From: Good Neighbors office in Kennett Square, PA with ability to work remotely

Job Summary
The Strategic Relationships Director will champion strong relationships with a variety of partners to catalyze the growth and expand the impact of Good Neighbors Home Repair.

The Opportunity
Good Neighbors (GN) has grown and has developed many relationships besides our primary outreach to homeowners in need of critical repairs.  These relationships have been maintained by all the current staff, each on a very part-time basis.  It is time, however, to consolidate this leadership so that GN can meet one of its strategic goals – maximizing the volunteer experience and causing GN to be the “partner of choice” for businesses, clubs, churches, and schools.  

The Strategic Relationships Director is a highly networked role with interaction with everyone on staff, the board and our many partners. Though initially this position would work to centralize our relationship management process, as GN continues to expand there will be plenty of growth opportunity as well as the ability to customize elements of the role to the unique strengths of the hired candidate. 

Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead and support all external partnerships. Develop and foster relationships that bring new volunteers and ensure maximum impact for both the homeowners and groups
    • Churches
    • Clubs (Rotary, Lions, etc.)
    • Companies (primarily in PA and DE)
    • Youth Programs
    • High Schools / Colleges
  • Plan the yearly Good Neighbors Summer Camp
  • Build and strengthen partnerships that enable GN to better serve the veteran community
  • Coordinate the capturing of stories and interviews that highlight the positive impact of GN
  • Support advancement in reaching younger partners by designing methods and messages that connect with GN’s future leaders
  • Hiring and supervising GN’s interns and ensuring a positive and productive internship experience

    • Expansion into new geographic regions
    • Leading our Healthy Homes initiative
    • “Franchising” the GN model

Required Qualifications
  • Mature Christian faith that fuels a passion to serve others
  • Wise decision maker with sound judgement and spiritual discernment 
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • A commitment to personal and professional growth – a teachable spirit
  • Excellent and personable communicator
  • Works well with others in areas that are not fully defined or refined
  • BS/BA or higher

Bonus Qualifications
  • Strong existing network with organizations, churches, schools, etc. in our region
  • Comfortable engaging digital natives and leveraging social networks
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
