We're Standing on a Firm Foundation

​Dear friend,
Here is the underside of a deck we installed for a handicapped homeowner. If you look closely the post goes into a bracket and the bracket sits on a concrete paver. Phil, our Project Manager, explained that it needs a firm foundation to hold it in position. I thought of the hymn How Firm a Foundation which reminds me to "be not afraid" because we stand on His excellent Word.

​​That's what we're doing these days - standing on the God's word and trusting Him to place us in the right place at the right time. We are confident that we will soon be doing more repairs and using our great volunteers - big plans for this summer!

Back to the home. Here is the finished product, a strong and stable ramp that enables the homeowner to safely exit and enter her home. Warmer, safer, drier, and healthier - all of these help us bring hope and comfort to those in need.

God's Word and His people give us a firm foundation to serve.
